Our mission is to deliver high-quality products and services while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.About the RoleThe Senior Engineer will design and modify integrated circuit sockets and components, provide technical support for sales and customers, and ensure quality checks for assembly and components.First 3‑5 months during onboarding you will be onsite 5 days/week.After ramp up, 3 days/week (Tues, Thurs, Fri in office).Minimal local travel to customer sites. Overnight travel is rare, with occasional trips to Japan or Minnesota. Daily meal and business expenses covered during company travel.ResponsibilitiesDesignDesigns and modifies IC sockets and componentsMakes drawing changes as neededChecks and approves drawings of Engineering StaffTechnical SupportProvides technical support for Sales as neededProvides technical support to customers through phone, email, and on-site work; refers to engineering drawings and customer lab measurementsMakes recommendations to customers for choosing correct socketsQuality AssuranceResearches and provides problem solving, both in-house and to customersProvides quality check for assembly and piece partTests and evaluates IC sockets and piece partsEvaluates new piece parts from local manufacturersGenerates corrective action plan and reportActively collaborates with global colleagues across our client's locationsInformation Management and ReportingResearches, analyzes, and updates technical information databaseCommunicates on a regular basis with other departments, management, customers, assigned factory, and freight forwarder. May, at times, share information with external consultants working on behalf of the Company.May attend technical conferences, make visits to universities, and gather information regarding specific industries. Responsible for understanding current market condition, including competitor positioning.Plans, coordinates, and prepares both routine and special requested reports, surveys, research information, and presentations related to departmental work activitiesReports all important business decisions to manager and provides updates as requested.
