This is an opportunity to work on next-generation small satellite platforms in a highly collaborative, engineering-led environment where you'll have direct ownership over flight hardware from early concept phases through integration and launch preparation.The team is looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex mechanical challenges, working closely across disciplines, and operating in a fast-paced NewSpace environment with a high level of autonomy and visibility.ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical design activities for small satellite platforms and spacecraft hardwareCreate CAD layouts, detailed parts, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentationApply GD&T and tolerancing best practices throughout the design lifecycleCollaborate closely with structural and thermal engineering teams on spacecraft packaging, coatings, and thermal solutionsSupport hardware integration, vibration testing, and environmental test activitiesContribute to design reviews and mentor junior engineers where appropriateSupport spacecraft development from proposal phase through launch readinessRequirementsBS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field6+ years of mechanical design experience within aerospace or space systemsDirect experience working on spacecraft, satellite buses, or flight hardwareStrong CAD experience, ideally with SolidWorks or OnshapeExperience creating manufacturing and assembly drawingsComfortable working with PDM/version control and engineering release processesStrong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and mechanical analysisAbility to operate effectively in a fast-moving engineering environmentStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred ExperienceSmall satellite or NewSpace experienceMechanism design and testingEnvironmental/vibration testing supportThermal and structural integration exposureExperience mentoring junior engineersFamiliarity with spacecraft environmental standards and launch requirementsAdditional InformationRelocation support can be considered for strong candidatesCompetitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO, floating holidays, and equity participationApplicants must be US citizensIf you'd like to hear more, please apply or reach out directly for a confidential discussion: e.hay@evona.com#J-18808-Ljbffr
