A growing precision manufacturing organization serving highly regulated medical device markets is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical quoting activities. This position plays a critical role in supporting both existing production programs and new product introductions by developing robust manufacturing processes that drive quality, delivery, cost, and operational excellence.

Description
- Lead manufacturing process development and optimization within a regulated production environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles and data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard work, validation protocols, and engineering specifications.
- Support new product introductions and product transfers from concept through production launch.
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing equipment to improve productivity and reduce cost.
- Create, review, and approve engineering drawings, layouts, change orders, and technical documentation.
- Manage engineering projects independently, ensuring objectives are achieved on time and within budget.
- Lead process validations, material evaluations, and equipment qualifications.
- Partner with production, programming, quality, and supplier teams to improve manufacturability and operational performance.
- Own and manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities within assigned areas.

Profile
A successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading process improvement and engineering projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience developing manufacturing documentation, procedures, and validation protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Job Offer
Base Salary
- $110,000 to $145,000 annually
- Strong candidates with 10+ years of medical device manufacturing, quoting/costing expertise, and NPI leadership could command $140,000+
Bonus
- 5% to 15% annual performance bonus
- Potential profit sharing depending on company structure
