The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving and
scaling manufacturing processes for advanced ceramic components used
in aerospace applications. This role partners with production, quality,
and engineering teams to ensure efficient, high‑quality output that meets
strict industry standards.

Description

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for ceramics
  • Improve yield, reduce defects, and minimize cycle times
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Specify and maintain tooling and manufacturing equipment
  • Create SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation
  • Support new product introduction and process scale‑up
  • Partner with R&D, Quality, and Production teams
  • Ensure compliance with QMS and aerospace standards
  • Apply SPC and DOE methods for process improvements
  • Maintain safe handling practices and conduct risk assessments
  • Train production teams on process improvements

Profile

A successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer should have:

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5-8+ years in manufacturing or ceramics/composites
  • Experience in high‑throughput production environments
  • Strong Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement skills
  • Experience with SPC and DOE methodologies
  • CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP) preferred
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
