Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Manufacturing and Process Development Engineer - Fiber Optics to drive the design, development, and implementation of next generation manufacturing technologies and processes for our fiber optic products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Product Development and Operations teams to ensure seamless product launches, cost-effective designs, and efficient manufacturing processes.

  • THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE AT THE ARDEN, NC FACILITY

Job Requirements

  • Execute manufacturing deliverables for the New Product Development (NPD) Phase Gate process
  • Provide DFM/DFA input during early stages of product design
  • Conduct manufacturing capacity analysis and value stream mapping
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to drive cost optimization and productivity

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Optical, or Manufacturing Engineering (Required)
  • 5- 8 years of hands- on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of machines, equipment, and process design, development, and deployment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration across all levels of the organization
  • Willing to travel up to 25% to other TE facilities in UK, India and others within US
  • Due to ITAR regulations, US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency (green card) is required to apply for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience implementing Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
  • 2+ Years experience with fiber optic cable assembly

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $102,700 - $154,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
