About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Managing Counsel for Privacy and Cybersecurity to lead the legal support for these critical areas across its USAC and LATAM operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel to privacy and cybersecurity teams, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations, and managing legal risks related to data security and privacy. This role involves a high level of collaboration with IT, cybersecurity, business, and functional teams, as well as external partners. The Senior Managing Counsel will also oversee security and compliance assessments, advise on incident response and investigations, and lead the legal response to security and cyber events.Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) or Law degree, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in data privacy and cybersecurity law, preferably within regulated industries. Expertise in US data privacy laws, including HIPAA and state consumer privacy laws, is essential. The role requires experience in managing HIPAA compliance programs, advising on cybersecurity standards, and a strong understanding of global data privacy and AI laws. The ideal candidate will have a background in the life sciences industry, experience with medical device regulations, and a proven track record of leadership and engagement with internal stakeholders. Strong communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
