Wayfair’s Paid Search + AI surfaces team is looking for a data-driven Senior Manager (L4) to drive strategy and execution across our Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Product Listing Ads (PLA), and emerging AI surfaces, and to own the critical cross-functional relationships and external platform partnerships (e.g. Google, OpenAI, Microsoft) that enable this growth. As a member of Wayfair’s marketing team you will help drive growth in a fast-paced environment. You will own your roadmap, come up with creative solutions to strategic and operational problems, and manage a team of highly analytical analysts to operate a cutting-edge digital marketing channel.

The Paid Search + AI surfaces team at Wayfair runs multi-million dollar campaigns to capture demand from customers shopping for our categories across traditional search engines, PLA shopping formats, and new AI-driven discovery platforms. We build and leverage cutting edge campaign automation and bidding solutions designed in-house-incorporating the latest AI and machine learning models-to optimize our campaigns and maximize revenue. We use advanced analytics to find and optimize growth opportunities and ensure our customers find and purchase what they need across our stores. We’re responsible for bidding on the right set of millions of ads, valuing willingness to pay for each, and developing creative, product feed, and landing page strategies to best monetize search engine traffic. We collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and Marketing Technology to build new capabilities for the channel and rapidly iterate on new opportunities and nascent product categories.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a team of analysts to manage and grow the SEM and PLA channels for Wayfair by developing processes and automation that drive measurable results, and communicating progress and performance to marketing leadership
• Spearhead our strategy for AI surfaces (e.g., AI Overviews, generative search experiences), testing and scaling new formats to capture next-generation search demand
• Optimize product feeds and PLA campaign structures to maximize impression share and ROAS across search partners
• Lead cross-functional growth strategies that leverage search engine & AI chatbot surfaces as levers to grow the business across domains, including suppliers (e.g., Retail Media partners like Loloi), emerging categories (e.g., Appliances), major promotions (e.g., Way Day), and brand outcomes, while incubating new AI-powered capabilities at scale
• Cultivate and strengthen interpersonal relationships with vendor partners, including Google and Microsoft, particularly around their AI and Shopping/PLA roadmaps
• Closely monitor campaign performance daily, identify and root cause problem solve abnormalities, and react to deviations from plan quickly and strategically
• Institute rigorous strategic planning, road mapping, and test-and-learn methodologies to set goals and achieve desired results

What You Need: 

• 7+ years’ experience in a heavily quantitative and analytical role (e.g., performance marketing, finance, data analytics, strategy) with meaningful time spent operating or partnering closely with large-scale SEM and/or PLA programs
• 3+ years of leadership experience leading high-performing teams (people management and/or substantial project leadership) with a track record of developing talent and building durable operating routines
• Demonstrated ability to own senior cross-functional relationships and influence roadmaps without direct authority
• Hands-on experience using modern AI tooling to accelerate analysis and execution (e.G., Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or equivalent), and comfort learning new AI platforms quickly
• Excellent analytical skills with experience using SQL and at least one scripting or statistical language (e.g., Python, R) to analyze large datasets and inform marketing decisions
