Senior Manager, Marketing - SquishmallowsJob Category: MarketingRequisition Number: SENIO003354Full-TimeOn-siteLocationsCulver City, CA 90230, USADescriptionThe Sr. Manager, Marketing - Squishmallows will be responsible for an iconic and beloved brand that has grown over the last 10 years from the #1 plush item to a multi‑category, multi‑generational phenomenon. You will be part of the team planning the next era of Squishmallows by driving x‑category partnership plans that establish Squishmallows as an evergreen lifestyle franchise.What You Will DoDrive the strategic development and tactical execution of integrated marketing plans to build brand awareness and drive sales.Work alongside the Brand team to stay updated on product launches, retail exclusives, and key brand beats. Must be able to react to and adjust marketing plans in real‑time.Manage creative asset development across brands in portfolio including TV commercials, digital and social content, and photography.Partner closely with the DTC, Sales, Retail Development, Creative and other internal teams to align on overall goals and execute strategic campaigns.Develop marketing plans and presentations that clearly communicate key information to brand partners, licensors, retailers, and leadership.Manage external agencies with regards to digital media, creative development, and influencer marketing.Ability to develop project timelines, track projects and push forward to meet project goals and deadlines.Assess the effectiveness of the various marketing campaigns under their responsibility: organize post‑mortems and present key takeaways to leadership.Consistently review and report trends, sales data and consumer behaviors.Partner with the Social team to develop social media and influencer strategies to ensure plans align with overall brand and marketing goals.Develop creative briefs and manage relationships with external agency partners for social and video creative, paid digital and linear media, influencers, print, e‑commerce and more.Support retailer relationships by providing regular updates on marketing plans and identifying potential partnerships and collaborations.Perform other duties as assigned.Manages People: YesThis position will be responsible for all aspects of talent management for their team.What We Are Looking ForBachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, or another related field is a plus.7+ years of marketing experience in the consumer products and/or entertainment space.Experience managing brand partnerships and product collaborations.Understanding of the licensing industry, particularly across entertainment/character IP.Proven ability to leverage partnership strategy across multiple categories and tiers of retailers to drive franchise growth.Strong understanding of social media and influencers as marketing levers.Experience developing messaging and marketing programs targeting Gen Z.Able to work cross‑functionally and reciprocally with multiple departments (Social, Product Development, Licensing, Sales, Legal, Finance).Experience managing agency partnerships from RFP through campaign execution.A self‑motivated problem solver who thrives in fast‑paced environments and can pivot between multiple high‑priority projects without losing sight of the details.Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to influence and align diverse individuals at all organizational levels.Ability to cultivate and foster strong working relationships with internal and external teams to drive collaboration and impactful execution.Interest in trends, pop culture, and entertainment.Ability to travel as needed.Preferred QualificationsAgency‑side experience in strategy or account management.Understanding of toy industry and/or retail cycles.Understanding of licensing industry.What we offerThe salary range for this position is $128,280 - $160,380 / Yr. The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply.
