Position Summary
Sunrock is seeking a highly strategic and hands-on Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
This role serves as a key business partner to executive leadership and operations, delivering actionable financial insights that drive profitability, capital allocation, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.
The ideal candidate brings strong financial leadership, advanced analytical capabilities, and experience in asset-intensive industries such as construction, aggregates, or manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning (LRP)
Develop and maintain financial models for revenue, margins, and capital investments
Analyze performance against budget and forecast, providing variance insights and recommendations
Partner with operations to align production, sales, and cost forecasts
Support capital planning and financial alignment across the organization
Financial Reporting & Performance Management
Lead monthly management reporting for executive leadership
Track and analyze key performance indicators, including:
Production volumes
Plant utilization
Gross margin by product line
Product and project profitability
Inventory turnover and valuation
Fleet and equipment utilization
Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and analytics
Business & Operational Analysis
Analyze performance across aggregates, ready-mix, asphalt, and construction operations
Support pricing strategies through margin and market analysis
Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
Deliver insights on plant performance, job profitability, and asset utilization
Enhance reporting tools to improve speed, accuracy, and transparency
Strategic Decision Support
Provide financial analysis for capital investments, plant expansions, and acquisitions
Partner with leadership on ROI, payback analysis, and capital allocation
Evaluate growth opportunities in construction materials and infrastructure markets
Lead scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team
Establish scalable processes and reporting standards
Support implementation of ERP and financial planning tools
Foster a culture of accountability and data-driven decision making
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
MBA or CPA preferred
6–10+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership
Experience in construction, aggregates, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries strongly preferred
Proven ability to partner with operations and influence senior leadership
Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
Experience with ERP systems and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
