Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Global Protective Services, the Senior Manager of Executive Protection (EP) will oversee the daily operations of the executive protection program that ensures the security and safety of our senior leadership and executives. You will direct operations that support EP programs across diverse domestic and international settings, requiring a skillset of both tactical operational expertise and high-level stakeholder engagement. The Senior Manager will establish departmental strategic direction, foster cross-functional partnerships, and maintain a highly discreet, tailored service for our corporate leadership. By aligning EP protocols with broader corporate security business plans, the role will safeguard the organization''s leadership while ensuring business continuity. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office work at our Redwood City location.

Responsibilities

  • You will manage the daily operations of the executive protection program, aligning protection goals of a complex strategic enterprise.
  • You''ll conduct advanced site surveys, risk assessments, and pre-visits for venues, residential areas, offices, and travel routes to establish secure environments.
  • Manage service level agreements and third-party contracts with security vendors, protective intelligence teams, and travel providers.
  • Design and implement travel security protocols, coordinating secure transportation logistics, route planning, and emergency contingencies.
  • Manage the EP budget, including forecasting, goal setting, and expense tracking.
  • You''ll collaborate with key internal departments (Cyber Security, Legal, HR) and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies for coordinated incident response.
  • Maintain the highest standards of discretion and strict confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in law enforcement, military, or corporate security-related management.
  • At least 8 years of experience in corporate, in-house, or high-net-worth executive protection roles.
  • 8 or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and project management within protective operations.
  • Current or ability to obtain certifications in TCCC/TECC, EMT, First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and mitigating risk, with the implementation and management of advanced security technologies and threat metrics management.
  • Communication, verbal and written, with senior leadership and necessary external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or active involvement in professional organizations such as ASIS International, ATAP, or the Board of Executive Protection Professionals (BEPP).
  • Bachelor''s or advanced degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Have and maintain a valid Driver''s License, and necessary state Guard/Firearm permits (e.g., CA BSIS) and a valid Carry Concealed Weapons (CCW) license or LEOSA compliance.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$153,700 - $233,600 USD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
