Senior Manager, Engineering
About the Business Area/Department:
Our goal in AirOps is to ensure safe, reliable and seamless airline and airport operations. The Flight, Baggage, and Ramp Operations (FBR) solutions within the AirOps portfolio play a critical role in enabling airlines to manage safety critical operational processes, from flight departure planning and baggage reconciliation to ramp operations and emerging end‑to‑end baggage logistics.
Summary of the role:
As Senior Manager Engineering- FBR Americas, part of the Airport and Airline Operations (AirOps) Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading 50+ Software Engineers including SRE/DevOps engineers, and senior individual contributors based primarily in Bogotá, delivering complex, safety‑critical systems for major Americas and global customers.
The department operates across multiple scrum teams and you will personally lead large‑scale programs for major Latam and North American airlines, and other strategic transversal initiatives. You will also be responsible for our Amadeus Cloud Use Services (ACUS) and Kiosk teams in Bogota who would be supporting Americas customers, airlines competency canters and product development.
You will be part of a global AirOps ecosystem, collaborating with Product Management, Solution Management, and engineering teams across regions. Delivery is managed through Agile / SAFe trains, with strong cross‑site (London, Bangalore and Bogota) and cross‑product dependencies. You will be working on some of the most critical applications in Amadeus. Ensuring production stability and high delivery pace is essential.

Act as a key escalation and decision point for delivery and operational issues
Build vision and foster innovation
Ensure customer satisfaction and operational stability
