The Senior Manager of EH&S Compliance and Training is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and oversight of enterprise-wide Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) training programs and compliance initiatives. This role ensures that all EH&S programs align with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices while fostering a culture of safety and compliance across the organization.Develop, implement, and manage EH&S training strategies, programs, and materials tailored to meet the needs of diverse employee groups.Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA) as well as company standards.Monitor and audit EH&S programs and training effectiveness; recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Partner with operations, HR, and leadership teams to ensure safety and compliance programs are embedded into daily operations.Lead compliance assessments, internal audits, and regulatory inspections, ensuring timely resolution of findings.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry trends; adjust programs accordingly.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to EH&S training and compliance performance.Lead, mentor, and develop EH&S training staff or specialists.Manage vendor relationships and contracts for training systems, compliance tools, and consulting support.Prepare and present compliance reports, dashboards, and updates to senior leadership.Core CompetenciesLeadership & Influence - Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.Strategic Thinking - Aligns EH&S compliance and training programs with company goals.Collaboration - Builds strong partnerships across business units and functions.Problem Solving - Identifies gaps, develops solutions, and implements improvements effectively.Communication - Delivers clear, concise, and impactful messaging to diverse audiences.Continuous Improvement Mindset - Seeks ways to enhance compliance and training effectiveness.3+ years of EH&S experience, with at least 3‑5 years in a leadership role overseeing training and compliance programs.Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant federal/state regulations.Proven experience developing and delivering EH&S training programs.Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound recommendations.Experience managing compliance audits and regulatory inspections.Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), compliance tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.EducationHigh school degree or GED required.Bachelor's degree or other safety certification preferred.Working ConditionsOffice-based with periodic site visits to operations, terminals, or field locations.Requires up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.Exposure to field environments including industrial, transportation, and construction settings.Required to have/carry a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card when on maritime facilities and vessels.
