Job Overview\n \nThe Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement is responsible for the strategice development, management, and execution of our continuous improvement objectives, collaborating with senior executives, and ensuring that processes are optimized to enhance efficiency and overall performance. This role involves shaping and enacting the organization's strategic direction through the Hoshin Kanri / Policy Deployment process by identifying priority areas for improvement, managing change initiatives, and tracking the impact of improvement projects. This is a remote position and requires up to 75% travel.\n \n#LI-CH1\n \nA Day In The Life\n \nEvery day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by: \n\n Facilitating the Hoshin Kanri strategic planning and alignment process at the segment level, business unit or plant level; developing A3 charters with planning leaders and participants to enact initiatives. \n Utilizing Value Stream Mapping and Extended VSM to identify major reorganization of business processes as well as logistics and manufacturing processes. Serve or lead project management teams tasked with the enactment of future state VSM plans. This could include department relocations, facility relocations, implementation of new SAP modules or information systems. \n Providing leadership and guidance to a team of continuous improvement specialists, including mentoring and professional development. \n Serve as a Lean Trainer in all elements of the Hubbell Manufacturing System at the plant level and in the Lean Certification program. Develop others to train as well. \n Overseeing the analysis of existing processes and operations to identify areas for improvement, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization. \n Leading change management efforts to ensure that improvement initiatives are effectively adopted and integrated into the organization. \n Collaborating with cross-functional teams, departments, and senior executives to gain support and resources for improvement projects. \n Partnering with Plant Leadership to introduce and sustain the HMS Performance Management program of tiered Gemba walks, escalation, problem solving and accountability tracking. \n Utilizing data and key performance indicators (KPIs)to evaluate the success of improvement initiatives and make data driven decisions. \n Managing a portfolio of improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and tracking progress and impact. \n Implementing and overseeing quality control measures to ensure that improvements lead to better quality products and services. \n Maintaining records and documentation related to continuous improvement initiatives and their outcomes. \n \nWhat will help you thrive in this role?\n \nBachelor's Degree in Operations, Industrial/Manufacturing/Process engineering or related field is preferred\u202f\u202f \n \n15 \u2013 20 years of relevant experience (required) \n \n10+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement / Lean / Six Sigma role (required) \n \nMinimum of 4 years of experience in a technical leadership role with strong management and leadership skills (required)\u202f\u202f\u202f \n \nLean, Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired\u202f\u202f \n \nExperience in implementing continuous improvements and improvement systems\u202f\u202f \n \nDriven and able to influence others through leadership, teaching, and hands-on demonstrations of Lean principles and practices\u202f\u202f \n \nProven time management skills: ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively\u202f\u202f\u202f \n \nResults-oriented with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f \n \nProcess improvement and data analytical skills preferred\u202f\u202f\u202f \n \nHubbell Incorporated\n \nHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
