Role Mission
Lead the end-to-end development of next-generation Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms, owning system-level technical direction, execution, and team leadership. This role is accountable for delivering highly integrated electro-mechanical ATE systems that meet demanding customer, performance, manufacturability, cost, and reliability requirements—from concept through production and sustainment.
You will operate at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, thermal, firmware, software, and manufacturing, setting the technical vision, working collaboratively to align tradeoffs, and building a high-performing multidisciplinary organization capable of executing complex platform programs.
What You Own
+ Own system-level technical direction and architectural alignment for ATE platforms, working collaboratively across engineering disciplines to align decisions and tradeoffs.
+ Lead technical tradeoff decisions across performance, cost, schedule, quality, and manufacturability, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely decision-making.
+ Own product-level risk identification and mitigation (technical, reliability, execution, and manufacturing), with transparent communication.
+ Lead cross-functional execution from concept through release and sustainment.
+ Build, manage, and develop the platform engineering organization, including hiring, mentoring, performance development, and succession planning across disciplines.
+ Represent the platform credibly with senior leadership and customers.
What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership & Integration
+ Lead system-level design reviews for complex ATE platforms integrating high-speed electronics, precision mechanical systems, thermal solutions, firmware, and software.
+ Guide teams through architectural decisions, integration challenges, and design tradeoffs in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Execution
+ Partner with product management to translate customer and market requirements into clear technical direction.
+ Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain on DFM/DFA, factory readiness, and production ramps.
+ Work closely with program management to ensure milestone execution, dependency alignment, and execution transparency.
Strategic & Organizational Leadership
+ Define and communicate the ATE platform roadmap aligned to customer needs and business priorities.
+ Own staffing and budget planning; identify capability gaps and execute hiring plans.
+ Establish processes and operating rhythms that support predictable, high-quality execution.
People & Culture Leadership
+ Lead and develop managers and senior individual contributors across disciplines.
+ Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
+ Extensive experience delivering complex electro-mechanical products, including significant experience leading and managing engineering teams, typically over 10+ years in product development roles.
+ Demonstrated people-management experience, including hiring, mentoring, performance development, and supporting engineers and leaders across career stages.
+ Proven experience delivering complex systems from concept to production.
+ Strong system-level understanding across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and embedded domains.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver results in ambiguous environments.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or semiconductor test platforms.
+ Experience with DFM/DFA, global development, manufacturing ramp, reliability methods, and PLM tools.
Why This Role Is Unique
+ Platform‑scale ATE leadership, not subsystem ownership.
+ Real authority to shape architecture, execution strategy, and team capability.
+ Opportunity to influence product strategy, customer outcomes, and organizational growth.
Why Join Us
+ Work on technically challenging products at the forefront of semiconductor test.
+ Lead with ownership, collaboration, and accountability.
+ Make decisions that materially impact customers, products, and the business.
