Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Alliance Accounting, you will play a highly visible leadership role at the intersection of finance and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead a team of two and serve as a key financial steward for AbbVies portfolio of external collaboration and purchasing arrangements - partnering with Alliance Management, Legal, Treasury, Tax COE, and organizational finance teams across Commercial, R&D Alliance, R&D Medical Affairs, Operations, and Corporate.
In this role, you will drive the accurate and timely consolidation and reporting of internal non-R&D financial information, facilitate exchanges with external alliance partners and key internal stakeholder groups, and ensure these arrangements are administered in accordance with their contractual terms.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required.
7-10 years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting required
Previous supervisory experience leading and developing a team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, paired with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities (verbal and written) with a proven track record of building relationships and collaborating effectively across functions and with external partners.
Proven ability to work independently, meet tight timelines and lead multiple projects while balancing competing priorities and customer/stakeholder demands.
Strong attention to detail, independent and pro-active thought, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Workiva
Experience with large scale ERP and planning systems such as BPC, BIP, and SAP preferred.
