Location: Huntersville
Payrate: $18 to $25 depending on experience
Shifts: 1st shift and 2nd from 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday
3rd shift from 10pm to 6am Sunday to Thursday
Position Summary
The Senior Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used to produce composite fiber and textile products. This role requires strong technical expertise, a focus on quality and safety, and the ability to support and guide other operators on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment
Ensure production meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards
Inspect raw materials and finished products
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments
Support and mentor junior machine operators
Complete production, quality, and tracking documentation
Report equipment or production issues to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Train team members on standard operating and safety procedures
Use electronic systems (MDE) to track production data
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
5-10 years of machine operation or manufacturing experience
Experience in textiles, composites, or related manufacturing preferred
Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read work instructions, production orders, and basic blueprints
Experience with machine setup, calibration, and quality checks
Basic computer and data entry skills
Physical & Work Environment
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 100 lbs
Moderate noise environment: PPE required
Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
