We are assisting a client with hiring a Senior Level M365 Systems Engineer to work onsite in Plano, TX. Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year.The Senior Systems Engineer is a senior-level infrastructure professional responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems across a global, multi-office environment. This role requires deep hands‑on technical expertise combined with the ability to lead by example, guide other engineers, and take ownership of complex technical outcomes.This position is suited for a senior engineer who enjoys staying close to the technology, proactively solving problems, and supporting a team to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Engineering ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, operate, and support Cloud infrastructure (M365)Serve as a senior technical escalation point (Tier 3) for complex infrastructure issues, including incident response and root‑cause analysisInstall, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and cloud services across enterprise environmentsMonitor system performance, availability, and storage utilization, and proactively address risks, capacity issues, and technical debtPlan and execute system upgrades and improvements to support growth, stability, and securityImplement and maintain security standards and controls across infrastructure platformsMaintain accurate and up‑to‑date technical documentation, standards, and proceduresAutomation & Platform ImprovementSupport and implement automation initiatives to improve reliability, efficiency, and consistencyManage and support open‑source platforms and tools used within the infrastructure environmentContinuously evaluate and improve tooling, monitoring, and operational processesProvide technical guidance and mentoring to systems administrators and engineers. Support team members by reviewing designs, assisting with complex troubleshooting, and sharing best practices.
