About the Role

• We are seeking a Senior Java Architect with experience working with government agencies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in J2EE technologies, Java programming, and IBM development environments. This is a 30-month contract position based in Albany, NY.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex systems
• Provide technical leadership and expertise in Java and J2EE technologies
• Collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders
• Perform performance tuning of applications interacting with databases

Required Qualifications

• 84 months experience with J2EE technologies including EJB, JDBC, JSP, and XML
• 84 months experience with Java programming in an IBM development environment using IDE of IBM's Rational Application Developer (RAD) deployed to Websphere Application Server (WAS)
• 84 months experience with IBM DB2, including working with DB2 databases and XML schemas
• 36 months experience with a government organization, including business knowledge, technical design, development, maintenance, and end-user support of complex systems
• 60 months experience in performance tuning applications interacting with databases
• 60 months experience with IBM MQSeries
