The Panther Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager to support large-scale, enterprise technology initiatives for a leading university in Boston, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, hands-on project leader with deep experience managing complex IT programs, cross-functional teams, and enterprise system implementations.

This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite in Boston each week and is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, enterprise IT projects across multiple departments
  • Manage projects involving:
    • CRM
    • ERP
    • Cloud systems
    • Infrastructure
    • Data integration
  • Develop and manage:
    • Project plans
    • Scope
    • Timelines
    • Budgets
    • Resource allocation
  • Drive organizational readiness, change management, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Conduct risk assessments and proactively manage mitigation strategies
  • Serve as primary liaison between:
    • Technical teams
    • Business stakeholders
    • Executive leadership
  • Present project status, risks, and performance metrics to governance groups
  • Lead cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Track financials, project milestones, and overall delivery performance
What You Bring
  • 8–10+ years of progressive IT project management experience
  • Proven success delivering large, complex enterprise technology projects
  • Strong experience with:
    • Cross-functional leadership
    • Stakeholder management
    • Organizational change
    • Enterprise systems implementation
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • Agile
    • Waterfall
    • Hybrid project methodologies
  • Experience with project tools such as:
    • MS Project
    • Jira
    • Smartsheet
    • ServiceNow
  • Strong business and technology alignment skills
  • Excellent communication, executive presentation, and leadership abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, Agile, or PRINCE2 certification
  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, or large enterprise environments
  • Strong background in digital transformation and enterprise change initiatives


Pay is $80-$97.90 per hour DOE
