Job Summary:

Sigma, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join our team in Irving, TX. This role is responsible for leading complex healthcare IT projects from initiation through implementation while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise-level IT implementations in a healthcare environment, working closely with executive leadership, clinical stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Experience with Epic, Meditech, hospital implementations, and PMO methodologies is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management activities following established PMO methodologies and governance.
  • Develop and manage project charters, project plans, budgets, timelines, resource plans, and project documentation.
  • Manage multiple medium- to large-scale enterprise IT projects simultaneously.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and vendor Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings and facilitate collaboration among executive leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, identify dependencies, establish critical path milestones, and monitor project progress.
  • Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, steering committee updates, executive presentations, and budget reports.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and organizational documentation requirements.
  • Maintain complete project documentation to support internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate testing activities, implementation planning, system deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Facilitate planning and design sessions to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Partner with Information Systems Training and vendors to develop user documentation, training materials, and implementation support plans.
  • Ensure end-user readiness through training coordination, competency validation, and go-live support.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing Information Technology projects.
  • Experience leading multiple concurrent IT projects through the full project lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and risk management.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and coordinating cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience developing project documentation including:
    • Project Charters
    • Project Plans
    • RACI Matrices
    • Budget Trackers
    • Weekly Status Reports
    • Steering Committee Presentations
    • Change Management Documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects within large multi-hospital healthcare systems.
  • Clinical IT implementation and healthcare technology project management experience.
  • Experience with Epic, Meditech, or other healthcare information systems.
  • Familiarity with Epic Beacon, ARIA Radiation Oncology, and McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS.
  • Experience supporting hospital expansion, facility relocations, or healthcare building moves.
  • Experience managing cancer center implementations or relocations is highly desirable.
  • Experience using ServiceNow for IT service management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
  • Clinical education or healthcare operations background is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) Certification strongly preferred.
