Senior IT Manager (Enterprise Applications)

FLEXRACK by Qcells is an integrated solar company that offers custom-designed, fixed tilt ground mount and single-axis solar tracking systems in the commercial and utility-scale solar mounting industries. FLEXRACK also offers full services, including engineering, geotechnical, pullout testing, field, and layout design services to address the actual site conditions of a project site. FLEXRACK by Qcells has completed over 5 GW of solar racking installations in over 40 U.S. states, 9 Canadian provinces and across the globe.

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Senior IT Manager to own and advance the enterprise-application portfolio that runs FLEXRACK’s solar tracker manufacturing business end to end. This hands-on role is the single point of accountability for the company’s business systems: Syspro ERP, monday.com, Salesforce, the 10in6 MES system, and other enterprise applications, covering administration, configuration, user support, integrations, and the evaluation and rollout of new capabilities. Beyond the systems in place today, the role brings broad, current knowledge of the business-application landscape used across manufacturing and the solar / renewable industry to recommend fit-for-purpose platforms as the business scales. Near-term priorities include operationalizing in-flight system implementations and then owning their ongoing roadmap, adoption, and optimization. The role is approximately 80–85% business systems / enterprise applications and 15–20% oversight of a lightweight, IT & Infrastructure.

This position reports to the Business Support Team, or another management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is located in Cleveland, Ohio and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 20%.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

•          Enterprise Application Ownership & Administration

o         Serve as system owner and administrator for the company’s business applications across all functions: Syspro ERP, monday.com, Salesforce, the 10in6 production system, and other enterprise applications; manage configuration, roles and permissions, security, workflows, data model, reporting, and integrations.

o         Own platform health: data integrity, release / version management across all platforms, performance, and uptime coordination.

•          Technology Strategy & New Systems

o         Maintain broad, current knowledge of the manufacturing / solar business-application landscape (ERP, CPQ, CRM, MES, PLM, SCM / procurement, WMS / logistics, BI / analytics); identify gaps and evaluate fit-for-purpose systems.

o         Build business cases (cost / benefit, ROI, risk) and present recommendations to management and executive leadership; maintain a forward-looking systems roadmap.

•          Implementation & Vendor / Partner Management

o         Lead and project-manage system implementations and enhancements end to end: scope, requirements, design, configuration, UAT, trainingand stabilization.

o         Serve as the primary internal project manager and point of contact with software vendors and third-party implementation / systems-integration partners; manage statements of work, timelines, budgets, change requests, and SLAs.

•          User Enablement & Support

o         Provide front-line and escalation support across all systems; develop training and documentation; drive user adoption and change management.

•          IT & Infrastructure Oversight

o         Oversee the company’s lightweight, IT environment: Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace, identity and access (SSO / MFA), endpoints, network / connectivity vendor coordination, security baselines, and helpdesk escalation.

•          Governance, Data & Documentation

o         Maintain system governance (change control, access reviews, audit trails) and reporting / data-quality foundations across systems.

Qualifications & Experience

•          Education & Certifications

o         Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

o         Relevant certifications preferred: PMP / CAPM, ITIL, or ERP-specific credentials.

•          Technical Knowledge & Tools

o         Hands-on administration of manufacturing ERP (Syspro, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar); experience with CRM (Salesforce) is a plus

o         Broad familiarity with the categories of business applications used across manufacturing (CRM, ERP, MES, PLM, WMS, BI) and ERP-to-CRM integration patterns.

o         Experience with M365 / Google Workspace administration, identity & access management, and managing MSPs.

•          Relevant Experience

o         7+ years administering and supporting enterprise business systems (ERP,CRM), including hands-on configuration.

o         Experience in a manufacturing or engineer-to-order / configure-to-order environment; solar / renewable energy a plus.

o         Proven track record leading system implementations and managing software vendors and third-party implementation / SI partners.

•          Soft Skills

o         Strong business analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to senior leadership.

o         Comfortable as a hands-on individual contributor while owning strategy and roadmap (player-coach).

o         Detail-oriented and pragmatic on build-vs-buy decisions; effective at prioritization, vendor, and stakeholder management.

The anticipated starting pay range of this position, which is to be located in Cleveland, OH. The pay is only displayed for Cleveland, OH is  $140,000-$160,000  base salary per year. 

The above-listed salary range is required by the Cleveland Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in Cleveland, OH. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. An additional discretionary bonus structure or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
