Senior IT Applications Analyst

Job Purpose

Carries out mainstream application support, development and testing as well as project execution under given specification, in line with group standards and procedures and provides a support resource

Job Description

• Interviews business partners for business requirements definition
• Facilitates prioritization discussions with business for incidents & small enhancements
• Translates business requirements into a set of structured business process, technology and organization specifications
• Performs system analysis and triaging of issues
• Undertakes system configuration, data analysis and mapping
• Performs system maintenance activities, ensuring change requests and small enhancements are processed
• Participates in solution designs
• Creates test scripts, tests and ensures quality and efficiency of deliverables
• Keeps the system design documentation & application support manuals up to date
• Participates in the project team, when relevant, and provides deliverables according to the time, cost, and quality criteria
• Helps coordinate delivery of small to medium size operational efforts
• Creates transition to support plans as part of solution delivery
• Coaches less experienced team members

You are meant for this job if:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in the related field
• Software development/configuration and application support skills and experience
• Analytical and problem solving skills related to the field
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and system designs
• Strong teamwork skills
