JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Interface Analyst will actively participate in MMIS internal projects, contribute to security and privacy standards, and support improvements to the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Candidates with prior experience in Medicaid systems will be given preference. The Senior Interface Analyst will be called upon to act as an active member in all phases of the project including gap analysis, requirements gathering, design and development activities, documentation, testing, implementation, and stabilization. The Senior Interface Analyst is expected to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders; therefore, exceptional communication, coordination, and documentation skills are essential for success in this role.
The primary work location for this role will be at 1 Enterprise Drive, Quincy Massachusetts 02171. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM. This position is expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days as needed. Schedules are subject to change based on the operational needs of the business .
Detailed List of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business teams, partners, and vendors to gather and validate interface requirements for existing or new interface projects
Design, define and maintain(update/modify/customize) interface schemas, specifications, record layouts and file specifications in coordination with Functional Client and Partners
Define and document web service specifications, including request/response formats, endpoints, and contracts (SOAP/REST, FHIR APIs)
Participate in detailed reviews, design walkthroughs, Unit test walkthroughs for the new interfaces/schemas/webservices and provide approval.
Coordinate and collaborate with partners in UAT and end-to-end testing of the XML/file and webservices to validate new or changes to existing interfaces.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SFTP connections for inbound/outbound data exchanges with external systems, payers and healthcare trading partners
Set up and maintain file transfer schedules, folder structures, PGP/encryption, and access controls in compliance with HIPAA security requirements
Investigate and resolve file transfer failures, delays, and connectivity issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Assist in resolving issues by working as a liaison between the business users, interface partners and development staff.
Work with internal teams and external partners to production support teams to resolve any interface emergency production issues
Run reports, support data extraction and exchange with external source systems.
Coordinate with the various infrastructure teams for approvals and changes to networks, gateways, security etc. for all interface-related changes as well as production emergencies.
Support the technical requirements of the MMIS hosting and software environments.
Support and troubleshoot integrations hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
Stay current on emerging integration technologies, API management platforms, and healthcare interoperability standards
Take full ownership of assigned interfaces/tasks from requirements gathering through implementation and post-go-live support
Serve as the primary point of contact for interface-related queries from business and technical stakeholders
Communicate clearly and proactively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership on status, risks, and issues

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Preferred Qualifications : 8+ years' IT experience with strong interface and data analysis experience.
Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and hosting environments standards.
Strong understanding of interface design, analysis and data structures preferably within healthcare IT
Strong Knowledge of SOAP Web Services, XML and data exchange.
Experience in file exchange mechanisms and protocols like SFTP is required.
Understanding of encryption/decryption and familiarity with a Unix/Linux environment.
Solid understanding of XML, XSD schema design, and validation techniques
Prior experience developing requirement documents and technical specifications is required
Experience with web services (SOAP/REST), including request/response analysis and testing
Proficiency in SQL and database validation techniques
Strong health insurance business knowledge with focus on interface designs, data structures and transaction types.
Proficient in business analysis to support all stages of SDLC.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ownership mentality with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Experience preparing status reports and presenting to stakeholders/management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across business and technical teams
Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences

Education and Certifications : Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, IT or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent work experience.
