Senior Intellectual Property Specialist 2025-09-13 Back Job Responsibilities I. Intellectual Property (IP) Strategy Planning and Management

  1. Formulate the company's IP strategy to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy, and provide robust IP protection for market expansion, particularly in the cell and gene therapy field;
  2. Organize the development of IP management systems and processes, improve the IP management framework, and ensure the standardization and systematization of IP-related work. II. Patent Affairs Management
  3. Take charge of the company's patent mining, layout, and application work; organize R&D teams to prepare patent technical disclosures, ensure the quality and quantity of patent applications, and enhance the company's technological competitiveness in the cell and gene therapy field;
  4. Track the examination progress of patent applications, coordinate with patent agencies and patent examination authorities, and promptly address patent examination opinions to ensure the smooth grant of patents;
  5. Maintain the company's granted patents, pay patent annuities on time to ensure patent validity, and prevent patent invalidation due to negligence. III. IP Risk Prevention and Control Conduct IP risk assessments on the company's products and technologies, identify potential infringement risks, formulate response strategies in advance to reduce infringement risks, and adjust the company's IP management strategies in a timely manner to ensure the legality and compliance of the company's IP management. IV. Team Building and Management
  6. Be responsible for the building and management of the IP team, and improve the overall professional capabilities and work efficiency of the team;
  7. Guide and develop team members, enhance their professional skills and comprehensive qualities, and build a high-caliber IP team.

Job Requirements

  1. Educational Background: Master's degree or above in biology, immunology, intellectual property, or related majors; a doctoral degree is preferred;
  2. Work Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in IP management and team management; experience in IP work in the cell and gene therapy field is preferred;
  3. Professional Knowledge and Skills:

    • Familiar with domestic and international IP laws and regulations; proficient in the processes of application, maintenance, and enforcement of IP rights such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights;
    • Possess strong capabilities in patent mining and layout, and be able to formulate reasonable patent strategies based on the company's technological R&D and market expansion needs;
    • Proficient in IP risk assessment methods and tools, able to effectively identify and mitigate IP risks;
    • Have good legal document writing skills, and be able to independently draft and review IP-related contracts and legal documents; 4. Professional Qualification: Possession of a Patent Agent Qualification Certificate is preferred;
