Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 (Based on experience and technical interview)

We are seeking a Senior Informatica Administrator to support critical enterprise systems and data integration initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

This is a high-impact, senior-level role responsible for:

  • Enterprise Informatica platform administration
  • Secure data movement and integration
  • Infrastructure and application support
  • Compliance with VA, NIST, and Federal security standards

Your work will directly support systems and services that help deliver care and operational support to Veterans nationwide.


Position Overview

The Senior Informatica Administrator serves as a key member of a team responsible for maintaining and optimizing a complex enterprise Informatica environment.

This role requires:

  • Deep hands-on Informatica administration expertise
  • Strong infrastructure and integration knowledge
  • Experience supporting secure Federal environments
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams, vendors, ISSOs, and stakeholders

This is not a passive operations role-we are seeking a hands-on technologist who can administer, troubleshoot, secure, and improve enterprise Informatica platforms.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Experience

  • 8+ years overall IT experience
  • 6+ years direct hands-on Informatica Administration experience
  • Experience working in:
    • Enterprise environments
    • Federal or highly regulated environments preferred

Required Technical Skills

  • Expert-level Informatica Administration experience
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Informatica PowerCenter
    • Informatica Data Quality
    • Informatica TDM
  • Experience with:
    • Application integrations
    • Data movement and ETL workflows
    • Scripting and automation
    • Infrastructure troubleshooting

Additional Technical Knowledge

  • SSO / SOA architectures
  • PowerShell scripting

  • Administer and support enterprise Informatica environments including:

    • Data Quality
    • TDM (Test Data Management)
  • Manage and maintain Informatica platform domains and components
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and operational health

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with:
    • NIST cybersecurity standards
    • VA information security policies
    • Federal security requirements
  • Collaborate with:
    • ISSOs
    • System owners
    • Security stakeholders
  • Design and implement secure data handling and access controls for:
    • PII
    • PHI

Infrastructure & Integration Engineering

  • Design and manage complex integration architectures
  • Support:
    • Application integrations
    • Data movement workflows
    • Infrastructure connectivity
  • Troubleshoot enterprise processing workflows and data pipelines

Systems Analysis & Optimization

  • Analyze current and future system requirements
  • Support:
    • Capacity planning

  • Recommend process improvements and technical enhancements

Automation & Scripting

  • Write and maintain:
    • Informatica scripts
    • Queries
    • PowerShell and Linux-based automation scripts
