Paket Corporation — Senior Industrial Equipment Reliability Mechanic

Step into a day where production uptime is your mission. You arrive to review overnight logs, prioritize any line stoppages, and move quickly from diagnosis to repair so packaging and blending operations never miss a beat. You balance hands-on mechanical and electrical work with careful documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to safety and GMP compliance.

What a typical day looks like

  • Rapidly diagnose production equipment failures with the clear priority of keeping lines running.
  • Perform line changeovers and setups, troubleshoot issues, repair and reassemble machinery to restore performance.
  • Execute mechanical work: fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting, and related shop tasks.
  • Handle electrical tasks: swap motors, fuses, and cables; install conduit; pull wire; verify 120/208/240/480V integrity.
  • Carry out routine preventive/periodic maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement by contributing to machine and process design for existing lines and new projects.
  • Improve and implement SOPs, optimize line layouts, and provide input on plant design.
  • Maintain equipment PM logbooks, keep the tool crib organized and stocked, and ensure compliance with CFR 210/211 requirements for OTC manufacturing.
  • Assist with facility systems and building maintenance, including boilers, air handling units, and HVAC equipment.
  • Record maintenance activities and data to track asset health and service history.
  • Create forms/setup sheets to standardize equipment settings for repeatable results across production campaigns.
  • Use and interpret OEM manuals to operate and maintain equipment correctly.
  • Generate purchase requisitions for stores and inventory when needed.
  • Remain available for assistance after hours when required (e.g., fire alarm or security system issues), while most work occurs during standard business hours.
  • Provide clear maintenance guidance by fielding questions and responding to service requests.
  • Ensure facility and equipment compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, familiarity with GMP standards, and ability to work outside regular hours as needed (1st shift 6 AM–2 PM; 2nd shift 2 PM–10 PM).
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities across mechanical, electrical, pumps, and manufacturing machinery.
  • Flexible, team-oriented mindset; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a strong culture.

Preference for candidates willing to work a swing shift covering parts of first and second shifts (10 AM–8 PM) or a full second shift (2 PM–10 PM).
