Lead monitoring and analysis of energy performance data from energy data platform, building management systems (BMS) and other HVAC control systems for residential buildings and other real estate developments. Interpret and translate energy data into actionable insights for operational and capital projects. Liaise between cross-functional teams to incorporate operations insights from existing HVAC systems into the design and construction of new developments and preservation projects. Drive post-design reviews, feedback, and analysis to prevent future operational issues and enhance the long-term functionality of building HVAC systems. Oversee energy and electrification modeling to ensure accurate simulations and scenario analyses that will inform the development of energy and sustainability building projects. Ensure compliance with applicable New York City local laws and regulations, and engage with industry groups to keep abreast of industry trends. Conduct site visits in New York State to perform energy audits, troubleshoot mechanical systems, verify and implement control alerts, and conduct on-site training and meetings.Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 3 years of experience in the position offered or as a Building Systems Engineer or Building Systems Analyst.**All of the required experience must have included performing energy performance audits using mechanical equipment; monitoring energy data platforms, BMS and other HVAC control systems for large residential buildings and other real estate developments in New York City; participating in the design and project management of HVAC systems within affordable housing multifamily buildings (pre-war and post-war) including one and two-pipe steam boiler plants, hydronic boiler plants, boiler controllers, variable frequency drives (VFDs), cooling towers, and heat pump systems; working with HVAC systems in commercial or multifamily applications such as VRF, packaged terminal heat pumps (PTHPs), or geothermal; and applying knowledge of New York City local laws LL87, LL84, and LL97.Must have Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).Must be willing to travel domestically up to 30% of time.This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.#LI-DNI
Minimum Salary: 140,000
Maximum Salary: 145,000
