Senior Human Resources Project Manager

The Senior Human Resources Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, high-impact initiatives within the Human Resources portfolio. This role partners closely with HR leadership, the Portfolio & Project Manager, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive the successful delivery of enterprise-wide HR programs and projects.

This position requires strong HR domain experience combined with proven experience managing large-scale, highly visible, and complex projects. The ideal candidate brings disciplined project management practices, sound business judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity within a dynamic, fast-paced organization.

This role is located at our Arden Hills, MN Corporate Headquarters (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-risk, and high-visibility HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise and HR strategic priorities.
  • Translate project charters into clear project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive execution excellence across multiple workstreams, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality commitments are met.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, IT, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Facilitate alignment, decision-making, and accountability across senior stakeholders.
  • Support change management and adoption planning to ensure sustained outcomes.
  • Provide project management consultation to build capability and maturity within HR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 7-10 years of progressive project management experience, including leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
  • 5+ years of experience within Human Resources (e.g., HR operations, HR Technology, HR Shared Services, or COE's).
  • Demonstrated experience leading HR technology or vendor-implemented solutions.
  • Strong executive communication skills and the ability to influence senior leaders in complex environments.

$107,680-$161,520. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.
