Position Description

The Town of Marana is seeking a Senior Human Resources Analyst to work in the Human Resources Department. This is a full-time, exempt level position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in joining a progressive and collaborative team. This position administers the employee benefit and leave management programs and serves as the primary Human Resources representative for these programs.

Expected Hiring Range: $59,576.74 - $74,470.92

  • Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.

Salary Range: $59,576.74 - $89,365.11

Examples of Duties

  • Serves as the primary contact for the Town benefit programs and related plans, policies and processes.
  • Leads the benefits committee, education initiatives, plan administration, open enrollment, orientation and benefit communications.
  • Researches and analyzes benefit plans, programs and policies and makes recommendations based on findings.
  • Administers the input, notification and communication of benefit changes in the Town's HRIS platform and vendor portals.
  • Processes bill payments and benefit enrollment/changes.
  • Audits eligibility and accuracy of benefit elections.
  • Works closely with vendors to resolve issues and ensure accurate plan administration.
  • Administers leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and Town policies.
  • Monitors and tracks leave usage and maintains accurate records with HRIS and leave tracking software.
  • Assist Human Resources leadership with employee relations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
  • Over three years in a related field

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.

Additional requirements:

  • Must complete both the fingerprint clearance background check and Town of Marana background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business or related field
  • Public sector Human Resources experience in municipal, county or state government
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
