At H&H, you'll join a firm that is building on its legacy by aligning expertise, expanding opportunity, and positioning itself for long-term, sustainable growth.ResponsibilitiesLead and produce highway and civil designs required for new or rehabilitation roadway projects, bridge-related projects, or general site/civil improvementsEffectively communicate and coordinate with other members of the design team. Manage, train and mentor less experienced engineers in the production of plans, specifications, and estimatesApply the standards and analysis techniques described in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Highway Capacity Manual, AASHTO A Policy on the Geometric Design of Streets and Highways, et alProject Management responsibilities related to project communication, schedule, budget, and progress on various concurrent tasksDisplay experience with MicroStation, Geopak, and AutoCAD. Working knowledge of the current CADD standards for MDSHA, DelDOT, DcDOT & VDOT is preferredComplete work accurately and in accordance with quality control and quality assurance proceduresAssist with client relations and business development efforts and proposalsRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringPE License10 to 15 years of design experience in the Mid-Atlantic Region, including:Roadway/Highway design experienceMaintenance of traffic drawings and traffic control plansSite/Civil experience including R.O.W., utilities, and drainageAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBenefitsSalary range: $145,000-$160,000 annually.
