We combine specialty contracting capabilities with general construction expertise to repair and construct a diverse breadth of civil infrastructure across the southeastern United States.ResponsibilitiesProactively develop, maintain, and expand business relationships with new and existing Heavy Civil Transportation Owner, Engineer, and Contractor accounts throughout the southeastern U.S. territory.Establish and implement strategic account plans for advancement of relationships with key clients, focusing on design-build and other collaborative project delivery.Deliver presentations on the company's Heavy Civil Transportation capabilities and follow up on feedback and inquiries.Participate in sales meetings, calls, seminars, trade shows, industry associations, and develop other sales and marketing strategies.Analyze market dynamics and competitive landscapes to determine optimal positioning and resource allocation for securing new business.Communicate our value proposition as a trusted advisor uniquely qualified to solve customers' problems and challenges.Meet or exceed activity goals and annual sales goals.Coordinate and/or create and present SOQs, proposals, and bids for RFQs, RFPs, and all opportunities within the defined territory.Coordinate between departments (sales, technologies, engineering, operations) and across multiple company branches to facilitate collaboration and deliver products and services to the Heavy Civil Transportation market.Attend scheduled pipeline and sales review meetings with the Senior Manager of Transportation Sales Vertical to provide progress reports on sales activity, opportunity development, and forecast.Manage all sales activity with prospective and existing clients, and all sales opportunities through the company's CRM system (Salesforce).QualificationsDegree in a technical or construction discipline relevant to the position, or equivalent work experience.7+ years of experience in engineered products or the civil construction industry, preferably with some experience in the transportation market in a business development role.Experience in the repair processes of existing bridges and new bridge construction.Strong knowledge of the southeastern U.S. civil construction market.Solid understanding of the sales process and ability to explain it from opportunity identification through closing.Ability to collaborate across multiple internal teams and navigate a matrix organization effectively.Physical Requirements: The role requires a high level of activity visiting clients and project sites.
