    Responsibilities

    • Deploy and configure hardware test fixtures following automation engineering specifications including mechanical setup

    • Diagnose and repair hardware faults (including electrical failures and mechanical adjustments to test fixtures) to restore test areas and equipment to operation quickly and independently

    • Set up and commission physical test fixtures incorporating robotics or other motion control systems, ensuring proper integration, calibration, and functionality

    • Execute daily test protocols while monitoring system performance and ensuring test accuracy

    • Debug and troubleshoot failures in electrical and mechanical components using systematic problem-solving approaches

    • Perform device deployment, restoration, and configuration management for test equipment

    • Maintain lab operations including timely resolution of open actions and general facility upkeep

    • Collaborate with cross-location engineering teams to run experiments and validate test results

    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

    • Proficiency in Python programming with strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities

    • Experience with diagnosing and repairing hardware faults, including electrical failures of key components and mechanical modifications to test fixtures

    • Experience with deploying and commissioning physical test fixtures that incorporate robotics or other motion control systems, including integration, calibration, and functional verification

    • Hands-on experience deploying automated test fixtures including mechanical assembly and setup

    • Familiarity with infrastructure management systems like Ansible or Puppet for configuration control

    • Experience with shell scripting, networking protocols, and managing macOS systems

    • Self-sufficient problem-solving abilities with excellent analytical and debugging skills

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with distributed teams
