Jefferson is seeking Senior Grant Management Specialists to support the State of Florida Department of Commerce. As a Senior Consultant, you will provide senior-level management consulting services in executing compliance monitoring, technical assistance, and program evaluation activities. The role supports planning, monitoring, and post-monitoring deliverables
This role will be hybrid, with the preponderance of work conducted remotely, but with the potential for on-site assignments in Florida.
This role is contingent upon contract award to Jefferson. The annual salary range is negotiable. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Responsibilities:
Support Commerce in compliance monitoring, organization strategy development, evaluation, guidance, training, and technical assistance activities focused on federal pass-through grants, state-funded grant programs, and local government nonprofit subrecipients.
Plan and lead compliance monitoring activities, including scheduling reviews, meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
Compile and analyze program documentation and support development of monitoring plans, tools, and risk assessments.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and weekly status reporting to support task order execution.
Conduct on-site and remote monitoring review, including entrance/exit conferences, documentation reviews, and stakeholder interviews.
Perform case file testing and program analysis to assess compliance with federal and state grant and contract requirements.
Document monitoring activities, findings, and results using approved tools and workpapers, and provide technical assistance to subrecipients.
Prepare and support delivery of draft and final monitoring reports, including supervisory review, supporting documentation, and submission for Commerce approval.
Support correction action plan review, follow-up, and closeout activities, ensuring resolution of findings and ongoing compliance.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, additional years of experience can be substituted for education.
A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in grant compliance monitoring, program oversight, and/or audit support for federal or State-funded programs.
Demonstrated experience performing risk assessments, case file testing, and documentation reviews to evaluate program performance, internal controls, and financial or administrative compliance.
Proven ability to develop and deliver monitoring reports, findings, and corrective action recommendations for grantees/subrecipients.
Experience providing technical assistance, guidance, and training to grant recipients to support compliance and program improvement.
