Prepare and analyze budgets and perform general accounting. Prepare journal entries for revenue, accruals, and reconciliation. Assist in audits and quarterly closings.The Organization is currently transitioning the Corporate office from San Diego to Dallas and the role initially for 3 months will require up to 75% travelMonth‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closingMaintain and operate standard period‑end closing schedulesAssist in the documentation and maintenance of ledger processes and controls, including the identification and testing of relevant SOX controlsQuarterly balance sheet and P & L fluctuation analysisIdentify daily activity in bank accountsReconcile various Company bank accounts for several different corporate entitiesPost journal entries in Oracle, the company general ledger accounting software packageWork closely with Treasury to identify bank loan wire activityPrepare and distribute 1099s to vendorsTrack and maintain fixed asset ledger by coordinating with IT and Accounts Payable; prepare schedules for reporting of fixed assetsMonthly expense variance analysisConsolidation, inter‑company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accountingBalance Sheet account reconciliationsAssist with the preparation of other reports provided to managementAssist with year‑end auditsAssist with preparation of month‑end financial statements, cash flow statements, budgetsAssist with quarterly and annual tax filingsUndertake ad hoc projects as requiredQualificationsBachelor's Degree in AccountingCertified Public Accountant5 – 10 years experience working as a GL accountantPublic accounting experience preferredAbility to work collaboratively across departmental functionsExperience in analyzing business performance and developing financial plans within a manufacturing environment desirableStrong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting, requiredERP experience required (Oracle preferred)Hyperion experience advantageousStrong Excel and database skills preferredStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong organizational skillsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
