Senior Fund Accountant

A real estate investment and operating platform is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its growing finance and investment management team in San Francisco.

This role is ideal for someone who wants broad ownership, exposure to investment activity, and the opportunity to help improve reporting infrastructure within an evolving organization.

The position sits within the fund and investment accounting function and is heavily focused on partnership accounting, investment reporting, fund operations, and investor-related financial reporting. While there may initially be some management company exposure, the long-term focus of the role is supporting the investment platform and fund structure, not traditional corporate accounting.

Key areas of exposure include:

• Fund and partnership accounting
• Investor reporting and capital activity
• Financial statement preparation and audit support
• Investment funding activity and cash reporting
• Process improvement and infrastructure buildout
• Coordination with third-party administrators and external auditors
• Systems transition work including historical data/reporting support

The environment offers strong visibility and broad exposure within a lean team structure. The company has historically operated with a stable, entrepreneurial foundation and is continuing to institutionalize its reporting processes and infrastructure as it grows.

Ideal background:

• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting foundation strongly preferred
• Real estate experience preferred, though private equity/investment management backgrounds will also be considered
• Experience with partnerships, funds, audits, and financial reporting highly relevant
• Someone comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple entities and competing deadlines

Additional details:

• Hybrid schedule with 2 days/week in office
• San Francisco-based role

Compensation:

• $120K-$130K base
• This compensation range is a good faith estimate of the expected wage range you can expect to be paid upon hire.
