Akkodis is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer for a Contract job with a client in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java microservices development, messaging technologies, database technologies, and cloud platforms, along with a proven background supporting large-scale production applications.
Rate Range: $57/hour to $61/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Full Stack Java Developer job responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and support Java-based microservices and enterprise applications using Spring Boot.
Analyze and resolve production incidents, application defects, and performance issues across distributed systems.
Support and maintain applications utilizing messaging technologies such as JMS or similar messaging platforms.
Develop and optimize database interactions with Oracle and Cassandra environments.
Monitor application health using tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and AppDynamics, performing root cause analysis as needed.
Implement performance improvements through query optimization, caching strategies, and system tuning.
Collaborate with development, operations, and business teams to support application enhancements and issue resolution.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in Java application development and production support.
Strong expertise in Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, and RESTful microservices.
Experience with JMS or enterprise messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, etc.).
Strong experience with Oracle and Cassandra databases.
Experience working with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, or other APM tools.
Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts including:
Pods
Deployments
Services
ConfigMaps
Secrets
Auto-scaling and health probes
Experience supporting high-volume, customer-facing enterprise applications.

Pay Details: $57.00 to $61.00 per hour
