The Senior Foreclosure Attorney will report directly to the Managing Partner of Northeast Foreclosure and will oversee the Delaware Foreclosure operations, attorneys, and support staff, in addition to their own case load. Title and salary will be commensurate with experience level. The right candidate will have worked as an Associate for at least 4 years. The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years experience in foreclosure and title clearance. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Detailed review of processes and procedures to identify efficiencies, legal compliance, client requirement compliance, and cost savings.
  • Interpret loan documents in detail to identify missing items and issues to address with client.
  • Communicate with client in a professional and personable manner
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work quickly and accurately in a high volume environment
  • Cure simple and complex title issues in a timely manner.
  • Review title examinations, pleadings, loan documents, and foreclosure documents in order to evaluate and rectify file level issues.
  • Create, review, and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, and other documents.
  • Create, review, and edit all documents related to the foreclosure process.
  • Effectively manage and motivate a team of employees supporting the department.
  • Effectively monitor and manage the statewide portfolio.
  • Interpret, evaluate and apply independent judgment and decision making regarding change management policies and procedures.
  • Develop and identify workforce planning strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility.
  • Will perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Attend court appearances when necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This job requires the exercise of supervisory responsibilities.
  • Direct and manage employees through leadership and coaching, including performance measurements.
  • Actively manage reports to confirm files are being handled according to Firm policy, State and Federal Statutes, as well as investor compliance guidelines.

Education and Work Experience:
 
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws
  • Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Requires membership and good standing with the Delaware State Bar
  • 4 years of related experience in the Foreclosure and/or Title Clearance area preferred.
