Senior Financial Analyst

Inspyr Solutions is partnered with our client in Toronto and seeking a very strong Senior Financial Analyst. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position reports directly to the Director of Finance and provides reporting support to the CFO and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close analysis including variance commentary and performance insights
  • Compile and own reporting packages for Senior Leadership, Board of Directors, and our ownership group
  • Assist in compiling a monthly letter detailing the financial performance for the month
  • Analyze financial results and key KPIs to support operational and strategic decisions
FP&A & Strategic Support
  • Own and enhance the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts for +250 operating locations across Canada and the US
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support business planning, investment decisions, and M&A activity
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency
  • Support preparation of board presentations, investor materials, and strategic analyses
Business Partnering & Executive Engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Senior Leadership by providing data-driven recommendations
  • Collaborate directly with Senior Leadership on financial strategies, performance tracking, and key initiatives
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects with high visibility across the organization
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Leverage financial systems (e.g., OneStream or similar) to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting and improve financial processes
  • Ensure data integrity across systems and reporting outputs

Qualifications & Experience
  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or corporate finance
  • Experience in multi-entity or consolidated environments (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Professional designation (CPA or pursuing) strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion, or similar)
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Intacct
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting for multi-location organizations
  • Experience working directly with Senior Leadership
