Senior Financial Analyst - Custom Packaging

Pay Rate:

$93,400 - $124,500

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP's annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

We are seeking a high-impact senior analyst supporting Custom Packaging. This critical role is responsible for facilitating and tracking optimization initiatives, helping to drive financial planning, operational reporting, cost optimization, and capital investment analysis across manufacturing and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Execution & Deployment:

  • Support initiative builds through EBITDA build tool
  • Development of materials for the MBR (to include KPI Scorecard, Strategic Priorities/Goals, Actual vs Targeted performance analysis, RCCMs)

Business Optimization & Cost Efficiency

  • Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and containerboard on initiative opportunities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Support the development of annual plans, rolling forecasts, and monthly performance reviews
  • Support strategic initiatives with financial modeling and scenario analysis
  • Former DSS plant financial integration

Commercial & Capital Planning & Investment Analysis

  • Review National and Local commercial activity to determine 10Q EBITDA impacts
  • Consolidate capital project information for engineering & operations reviews

Performance Reporting & Data Analytics

  • Own management reporting processes and dashboard development (e.g., Power BI, Excel)
  • Ensure reporting is timely, accurate, and aligned with business needs
  • Provide insights to guide tactical decisions and long-term strategies

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • 5+ years of accounting and/or related finance experience
  • Command of ERP systems, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage and measure work along with strong process management and planning skills
