We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance organization supporting the AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain team. We are looking for a team player that has the entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Through insightful and data-driven analysis, you will partner and collaborate with cross-functional team members to drive supply chain optimization initiatives that will continue our flywheel. This role is both strategic and detailed in nature and requires a finance professional who has a passion for developing complex financial models to support sound decision-making as well as enjoys rolling up their sleeves to learn the day-day aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic and multicultural environment; will be a creative and analytical problem solver.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build, run, and maintain complex financial models to maintain AWS infrastructure commodity planning, derive key financial insights, and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management.
  • Conduct supply chain monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management.
  • Develop ad hoc business analyses and present recommendations to AWS senior management.
  • Collaborate with business partners and co-lead on supply chain optimization projects by influencing through data-driven analysis, reporting and metrics.
  • Serve as a key finance partner working with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and cost savings opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS business.
