HOURS:
Mon-Fri, 40 hours/ week, flexible hours, core hours are 9- 3:30. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Based out of St. Luke's Center, Allentown PA with opportunity to work remotely after training, at the manager's discretion for PA and NJ based candidates.
The Senior Financial Analyst SLPG is responsible for maintaining financial records and the general ledger as well as preparing monthly financial statements.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares various allocation-based journal entries for the Physician Group monthly financial close process.
Reviews, as needed, entries prepared by the Senior Accountant and Financial Analyst for Physician Accounting and Reporting month end close.
Acts as a back-up to the Coordinator, Physician Accounting and Reporting during month-end closing for entry approval and allocations.
Reviews Physician Group monthly financial statements for accuracy prior to Manager approval.
Maintains the accuracy of the General Ledger.
Utilizes various information systems to develop forecast vs. actual analysis reporting.
Performs financial analysis of existing and proposed programs as requested.
Assists, as needed, with the Physician Group Administration rolling forecast process under the direction of the Vice President of Physician Group Finance.
Performs reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts as well as reviews, as needed, the reconciliations prepared by the Physician Group Senior Accountant and Financial Analyst.
Maintains appropriate supporting documents and workpapers for all financial transactions and analyses.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 3 hours at a time. Continuously uses fingers and hands for typing, data entry, etc. Uses upper extremities to lift up to 30 pounds. Frequently stoops, bends, and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and telephone. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, and peripheral vision. Visual monotony when reading reports and viewing computer screen.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing Accounting and/or Financial Analysis work, as well as preparation of financial statements required.
