Compass Group USA – Senior Financial AccountantJob SummaryThe Senior Financial Accountant position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate corporate accounting across acquisitions, investments, and cross-sector activity. This position will partner closely with Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting & Compliance, other Corporate departments, and Sector Finance. This role reports to the Manager of Financial Accounting.ResponsibilitiesLead post-acquisition accounting activities including off-ledger reporting, integration support, and financial analysisPartner with sector finance to review and record equity method investmentsCoordinate with sectors and other countries regarding intercompany activityProactively identify and implement process improvements using automation and artificial intelligence to enhance accuracy and efficiencyExecute month-end close activities, including preparing journal entriesEnsure balance sheet reconciliations are timely and accurateAssist in annual audit by providing requested reports and schedulesProvide ad-hoc reports as requested by managementRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in AccountingCPA/CPA CandidateMinimum 2-3 years of accounting/finance experience (public accounting and/or industry)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teamsSolid understanding of IFRS and US GAAPPrioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsMicrosoft Power Platform / process automation experienceSAP & Hyperion/Essbase experience1+ years Public Accounting experienceMS in AccountingExperience with SOX compliance testing & internal controlsExperience in large, complex organization (> $3 billion sales preferred)EEO StatementCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
