Position Summary:

Odyssey is seeking a highly-experienced Senior Financial Manager to provide senior-level financial management support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs located at Robins AFB, GA. This role supports Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities and ensures compliance with all applicable fiscal law, policy, and Air Force financial management regulations.

 

This is a full-time on-site position at Robins AFB, GA.

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support financial management activities across Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Executing (PPBE) for U.S. and FMS programs.

  • Assist with preparing and delivering compliant financial documentation in accordance with DoD 7000.14-R, AFI 65-series, and applicable AFMC financial policies.

  • Develop and maintain program budgets, execution tracking, obligation/expenditure forecasts, and financial status reporting.

  • Perform budget forecasting, variance identification/analysis, and financial execution reviews; provide recommendations to program leadership.

  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule analysis to identify cost/schedule impacts and trends.

  • Prepare financial inputs for program events and reviews such as BER, IBR, MDR, MAR, PMR, and risk assessments.

  • Draft and manage funding documentation including Purchase Requests (PRs), MIPRs, project orders, and other financial execution artifacts.

  • Maintain accurate financial records, identify/correct posting discrepancies, and provide status of approved/deferred/released funding.

  • Build and maintain audit trails and supporting documentation to ensure compliant use of funds (active, expired, and cancelled).

  • Conduct research and resolve accounting/financial issues using systems such as CRIS, WAWF, CCaRS, G-Invoicing, FM-Suite, and other Government financial tools.

  • Maintain financial databases, compile metrics, and generate routine and ad hoc reports for Government stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Secret clearance

Education and experience: Associates degree in related discipline and 15 years related experince; OR Bachelors degree in related discipline and and 10 years related experience; OR Masters degree in related discipline and 7 years related experience

 

Technical Skills

  • Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)

  • Budget execution tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and schedule impacts

  • Fiscal and appropriation law compliance

  • DoD and Air Force financial management regulations

  • Experience with financial systems such as: CCaRS, WAWF, G-Invoicing, FM-Suite, CRIS, IDECS, EDA, MOCAS, BQ

Interpersonal Skills

  • Present financial information clearly and professionally to program leadership and stakeholders

  • Support program and project managers with actionable recommendations and execution insights

  • Prepare and coordinate accurate reporting and financial documentation under deadlines

  • Respond to internal and external information requests with attention to detail and urgency
