Description North America FP&A End-to-End (E2E) Optimization collaborates across the Inbound, Fulfillment, and Outbound organizations to understand end-to-end costs and trade-offs. Our Finance team works closely with Program Managers, Tech, and Product Managers to drive performance reporting, planning, and analysis that optimizes capacity planning, supply chain design, and transportation execution to deliver for our customers. NA FP&A E2E Optimization seeks a Senior Finance Manager, Finance Transformation Lead to own the modernization of FP&A processes, tools, and standard work across NA Operations Finance. This role leads a team of 4 and partners directly with our Standardization & Automation (S&A) tech resources to design, build, and deploy solutions that remove consolidation touches, simplify workflows, and automate where possible - spanning foundational improvements (data infrastructure, tooling, SOPs, kaizens) through advanced capabilities including AI-enabled solutions. The successful candidate invents and simplifies - seeing around corners to anticipate pain points before they become roadblocks. They bring strong partnership and influence skills, collaborating effectively with executives, S&A tech teams, and finance business units across Amazon. They balance bias for action with thoughtful decision-making in a rapidly-evolving environment. Using active listening skills intuitively, they communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly - their communications drive critical business decisions. They have experience building creative solutions leveraging large-scale data tools, automation platforms, and emerging AI capabilities, with a track record of identifying high-priority work that maximizes results for key stakeholders. They are comfortable with ambiguity and solving complex problems that affect company-wide strategic decisions. Key job responsibilities -Lead a team of 4 to drive Finance Transformation initiatives across NA Ops FP&A -Partner with S&A tech resources to prioritize, scope, and deliver automation and tooling solutions -Deep dive current FP&A processes and standard work to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation -Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), kaizen mechanisms, and continuous improvement frameworks -Evaluate and implement AI solutions to enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and analytical capabilities -Oversee financial reporting integrity for transformation initiatives; understand input drivers and validate data to influence strategic decision-making and planning across NA Ops Finance -With Controllership as the top priority, identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve complex data integrity issues; improve controls to address financial risk and support frugality -Work closely with cross-functional finance leaders across Fulfillment, Transportation, and other internal Amazon businesses to drive adoption and change management -Use data to identify disruptive ideas - from process kaizens to AI-enabled automation - and provide actionable recommendations to finance leaders across the organization -Define success metrics and track ROI for transformation initiatives Basic Qualifications - 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 3+ years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience - 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience - 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 7+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience - 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience - 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience - MBA, or CPA Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
