Kforce is partnering with a leading investment client that is seeking a Senior Finance Associate (Private Debt) in Boston, MA. Summary: The candidate will identify a high-caliber professional for their Private Debt accounting and reporting team. This role is central to the firm's Middle Market investment operations, focusing on junior/unitranche debt and equity securities. You will act as a critical liaison between the Private Debt Origination team and internal stakeholders in FP&A, Tax, and Investor Relations to ensure the highest standards of financial integrity. Core Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Fund Accounting:
  • End-to-End Ownership: Manage the quarterly and annual financial statement preparation for various Private Debt funds
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting activity within the general ledger and specialized portfolio accounting systems
  • Oversight: Perform rigorous reviews of work delivered by third-party fund administrators to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • External Audit Liaison: Coordinate closely with external auditors to facilitate the seamless delivery of year-end audited financials
Fund Administration & Operations:
  • Capital Management: Execute the administration of funds, including the calculation, coordination, and preparation of capital calls and distributions
  • Portfolio Tracking: Maintain and update the portfolio of investments, meticulously tracking interest payment receipts and daily cash movements
  • Cash Oversight: Perform daily cash monitoring and bank reconciliations to ensure liquidity accuracy
Cross-Functional Support:
  • Investor Relations Support: Partner with the IR team to produce fundraising materials and fulfill due diligence requests, providing key data on fund performance, fees, and underlying portfolio metrics
  • Tax Collaboration: Support the tax department in calculating quarterly estimates and year-end tax allocations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
  • 5-8 years of professional accounting experience, with a primary focus on partnership accounting and investment structures
  • Industry Expertise: Strong background in GAAP financial reporting; Experience in public accounting specifically servicing Private Debt or Private Credit clients is highly preferred
  • Proactive Performance: A self-motivated professional who excels both as an independent contributor and as a collaborative team player
  • Agility & Prioritization: Proven ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, seamlessly adapting to changing priorities and dynamic workflows
  • Operational Excellence: A track record of consistency, delivering high-quality work products while strictly adhering to rigorous deadlines
  • Strategic Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the professional presence to engage effectively with Senior Management, external partners, and auditors
  • Organization & Drive: Highly organized with a professional, energetic approach to problem-solving and task management
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Systems Knowledge: Prior experience with Investran (or similar portfolio accounting systems) is considered a significant advantage
  • Certifications: CPA or other advanced professional certifications are preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
