Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a
Senior Field Survey Technician to contribute to our projects on a full-time, direct basis in the
Hampton Roads, VA area.
Primary Responsibilities: - Collecting field data necessary to design or construction
- Recording survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and inked tracings
- Completing land surveying computations for field surveys
- Responsible charge of a field crew
- Handling the preparation of construction cutsheets
- Reading construction plans
- Technical understanding of current survey field software

Job Requirements - 4-6 years of field experience
- Excel
- Math skills commensurate with field surveying
This person will be expected to work in the field so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in field-based roles with physically-demanding tasks.
- Proficiency with relevant technologies / tools (e.g.: Total Stations, HDLS, GIS, etc.); experience with Leica Geosystems HW & SW, RTS (Robotic Total Stations), GPS, and/or Faro High-Definition Laser Scanning equipment is a plus!
- Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
