Vaco is hiring for a Sr. Facilities Engineer opportunity in Dayton, OH.Direct HireSalary: 85-95,000/yrPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer to support the maintenance and daily operations of a commercial office complex. This hands‑on role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, responding to service requests, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained environment for tenants and employees.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.Maintain HVAC systems by replacing filters and belts, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting Building Automation Systems (BAS) and pneumatic controls.Inspect, repair, and maintain automatic doors, key lock systems, lighting, and other building components.Perform plumbing repairs, including toilets, sinks, faucets, and related fixtures.Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and other lighting components throughout the facility.Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and tenant service requests while providing excellent customer service.Conduct routine inspections of building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure equipment reliability.Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and preventative maintenance services.Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), when applicable.Support emergency response efforts and participate in an on‑call rotation as needed.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and building operating procedures.Qualifications5+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.Experience supporting commercial office complexes or multi‑tenant commercial buildings.Strong working knowledge of:HVAC systems (filters, belts, BAS, pneumatic controls)Electrical and lighting maintenancePlumbing systems (toilets, sinks, faucets)Automatic door systemsKey lock and access hardwareAbility to troubleshoot and repair a variety of commercial building systems.Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.Preferred QualificationsEPA Universal Certification or HVAC certification preferred.Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.Experience using a CMMS/work order management system.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: 85\,000–95\,000 per year.
