Description Amazon is a fast growing business in need of a Senior Executive Recruiter to help the business scale by recruiting top leaders for executive level positions across Worldwide Amazon Store (WWAS) There is no greater reward in search than seeing your hired candidates have a significant, positive impact on the business. The Senior Executive Recruiter will be fully responsible for owning and executing executive level (Director and Vice President) searches. Qualified candidates will be well-versed in all aspects of an executive search including creative candidate sourcing, candidate generation and development, client management, and offer/negotiation. The role will also include the following responsibilities: - Conducting research to map target companies and top talent for Amazon - Creating unique and robust search strategies to identify and attract the best and brightest - Developing innovative ways to raise the bar on how Amazon recruits talent - Calibrating candidates with hiring managers and senior leaders - Developing prospects into candidates through engagement and assessment - Continually contributing to the knowledge base of executive recruiting, and Amazon, by providing education on relevant industries and talent pools - Building out talent networks and tapping knowledgeable industry sources to develop an on-going pool of candidates - Leading client update meetings on active searches - Conducting on-site interviews, participating in debriefs, performing 360 reference checks, and presenting employment offers on behalf of Amazon - Providing strategic guidance and advice in a true partnership with executive leadership Critical success factors in this role: - Research; a researcher should be able to learn new technology and product domains, and then quickly understand and apply this knowledge into effective search strategies - Communication; a compelling communicator should be able to effectively engage the attention of executive stakeholders, and articulate complex arguments in a polished and professional manner - Tact & High Judgement; know when to apply the right pressure and when to move on - Self-assured; not easily thrown, able to think on your feet and work on highly confidential searches with senior leadership Focus and Deliverables for the first 12 months: - Full Amazon immersion; learn our business models, competencies, and leadership principles - Develop search strategies, conduct research, perform thorough assessments, and present qualified candidates for executive searches - Learn about Amazon's overall needs across functional areas and develop strategies for individual and team success in the identification and attraction of senior-level talent This position will be based in Seattle, WA. Basic Qualifications - Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships - Bachelor's degree or above - 7+ years of corporate and or search firm progressive recruiting including full life cycle recruiting experience - Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - Experience recruiting passive candidates who are the most senior experts in their field - Experience with executive recruiting in either a blue-chip, global in-house executive search team, or a top executive search firm - Experience working with recruiting and people-related tools, CRM systems, and complex spreadsheets - Experience hiring candidates, mentoring and developing employees in their careers - 5+ years of advising and influencing executive leadership Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
