Senior ETL Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will design, build, and maintain scalable data integration pipelines in an Azure environment. The software engineer will be hybrid 3 days a week located in Morrisville, NC.

Requirements for the Senior Software Engineer include:

• Design, develop, and support ETL workflows in an Azure environment.
• Work closely with Sales and Professional Services to tailor integration pipelines to specific client requirements and partner with analytics teams to build reporting tools for integrating metrics.
• Contribute to the design of scalable processes and pipelines that support both current operations and future growth.
• Research integration technologies and trends and provide recommendations that align with long-term technical strategy.
• Provide expert guidance on integration architecture, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards.
• Participate in refining requirements, maintaining the integration backlog, and documenting workflows for smooth execution.

Qualifications for the Senior Software Engineer include:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development focused on ETL and data integration.
• Advanced experience with ETL pipeline development using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Azure Functions.
• Strong understanding of integration architecture across APIs and data tiers.
• Solid knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring strategies.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues while adapting to shifting priorities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across departments.

Compensation for the Software Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $90,000 - $105,000
