Job Details

The Senior Estimator plays a critical role in leading preconstruction efforts from early conceptual budgeting through GMP development and final bid submission. This individual partners closely with ownership, design teams, and trade partners to drive accurate estimates, value engineering, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates for CM‑at‑Risk and Design‑Build projects
  • Develop and manage budgets through all preconstruction phases, including GMP
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, and trade partners during pursuits
  • Lead subcontractor buyout strategy and scope alignment
  • Perform value engineering, cost modeling, and risk analysis
  • Mentor and support junior estimators as needed
  • Participate in client presentations and pursuit interviews

Desired Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating or preconstruction
  • Strong background in CM‑at‑Risk and/or Design‑Build delivery
  • Experience with conceptual and early‑design estimating
  • Proven ability to lead pursuits and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
  • Proficiency with estimating and preconstruction tools (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, PlanSwift, Procore, BuildingConnected)
  • Local or regional market knowledge preferred
